Hello Air cadet officers!

Air district will be making an Air t-shirt.
On the front left side, there'll be the RSAF-NCC badge with two swords embroidered on it.
Below is the design for the back of the shirt.












The t-shirt will come in two colours. Black or White.
Material would be cotton, unless majority of you guys prefer dri-fit.
Estimated cost price would be around $25-$30.

Some background information on the T-shirt, the words Aeris Susceptor mean 'Guardian of the Air' in Latin... It's a thinking man with wings extending out.

If you're interested in purchasing the t-shirt, please send in your names & the size you would like; to your batch IC or me by 13 October,Wednesday.

Any late submission will have to wait for the next batch of t-shirts that will be made together with 59th & 60th batch.

SSC TRAINERS

Dear all SSC Trainers,

1. Please make the necessary preparation before the commencement of the course.

2. Brush up knowledge on Footdrill and Armdrills

3. ALL trainers are required to book in on 6 Sept night, course briefing will start by 2200hrs

4. Take note and correct your turnout and bearing. (e.g. haircut, nails, facial hair where applicable and attire)

5. Please be reminded that camera phones and any other storage devices are STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED in HQ NCC.

6. You are required to bring along your No.3 Uniform for Course Graduation.

7. Remaining postings/appointments will be disclosed on the night prior to the course.

8. Please inform the Course OIC, if you are for some reason unable to make it. (A replacement MUST be found prior to notification)

9. Should the need arise for anyone to book out during the course, book in late/book out early, notify the Course OIC with a valid reason by Monday, 5th Sept 2010.

10. DO NOT BOTHER THE COURSE OIC WITH POSTINGS, IT WILL NOT BE REVEALED till Monday night's briefing

Please take note that the Silver Wing has been postponed to 7-8 Sept.

Currently for combined spec course:

If you're still interested to help out for this event, please inform C/2LT Piak Chin Fong or your batch ICs.

NCC DAY DINNER & AGM

Dear Cadet Officers,

NCC Day Dinner will be held on 17 September.
This event is open to 30 Cadet Officers.
Attire: Smart Casual ( Males are required to wear a tie)

If you're interested, do inform your Batch ICs asap as places are limited.

The upcoming AGM is cancelled until further notice.
The main purpose of the AGM was to make official the new hierarchy in Air.
Thus, the new hierarchy will be posted on Saturday, 4 Sept 2010, on this blog.

If you have any doubts, please raise them to your batch ICs.

Adventure Treks 2010

Dear Cadet Officers,

East District would like to organise a trip for deserving cadet officers from various districts.
Each district would nominate about 4 cadet officers for the trekking trip.
This trip is meant for active Poly/ITE cadet officers and will be held in the October semestral break.
Tentatively, we will be heading to Mt Rinjani in Indonesia. You can read on for more details of the trip. There are other locations as well.

Here are the details of the trip:

1. Mt Kinabalu 4D3N - Sabah, Malaysia
Some trekking experience will be good but not mandatory.
A 4 day trip which includes a 2 days trek and via ferrata activity.
Land Price: S$580 per person (Note- S$25 less for 18 years old below)
Air Fare (estimated): S$200 per person
Includes: All transfers, All Meals, Trekking Permit and Arrangements (Mt trekking guide), 3 Nights of Lodgings, Travel Insurance by AXA, Trek Leader from Singapore.
Other inclusions: Trek Preparation Briefing, Training Sessions, Pre Trip Briefing.

D1- Flight
D2-3 - Trek
D4- Flight
Option to extend 1 more day for White Water Rafting.

2. Mount Rinjani 6D3N - Lombok, Indonesia (Between Sep & Oct only)
Trekking experience required. Summit climb is challenging and certain fitness is expected.
A 6 day trip includes a 4 day trek to summit.
Land price: S$420 per person
Air Fare (estimated): S$ 420 per person
Includes: All transfers, All Meals except last night, Trekking Permit and Arrangements (Guides and communal porters), 2 Nights of Lodgings, 3 Nights of Camping, Travel Insurance by AXA, Trek Leader from Singapore.
Other inclusions: Trek Preparation Briefing, Training Sessions, Pre Trip Briefing

3. Mount Fansipan 7D6N - Sa Pa, Vietnam
Trekking experience required. Trekking distance is long.
A 7 day trip which includes a 4 day trek to summit and back.

Air Fare (estimated): SQ - S$380 per person, Tiger Airways - $300 per person
Includes: All transfers, All Meals, Trekking Permit and Arrangements (Guides and communal porters), 2 Nights of Lodgings, 3 Nights of Camping, Travel Insurance by AXA, Trek Leader from Singapore.

4. Everest Base Camp Trek 20D19N (min) - Lukla, Nepal
Trekking experience required. Trekking duration is long and weather is much colder.
A total of 20 day trip which includes 16 day trek + 1 day city tour and visit to orphanage in Kathmandu.
Land price: S$2200 per person
Air Fare (estimated): S$950 - S$1050 per person
Includes: All transfers, All Meals during trek, Trekking Permit and Arrangements (Guides and communal porters), Tea house lodging, Travel Insurance by AXA, Trek Leader from Singapore.
